No one loves me!

Question of the Day: What is the answer to man’s feelings that “no one loves me?”
God creates each of us in “His image,” and that means in part that God created us to love and to be loved. Since man has fallen, and each of us is born a sinner, we feel a desperate need to be loved. We look for that love from our parents, a spouse, our extended family, and from many of the other relationships we develop. We do find some love, but much of it is “if you love me then I will love you” kind of love. But even the best of that kind of love leaves us empty inside and longing for more.
The message from the Bible that comes to us is this: God is love! But we can’t see Him, or go to where He is, nor do we get that feeling of being loved by Him from much of life around us. Listen to what God said to His special children, the nation of Israel, even though some of them were believers, and many were not. Here’s what He says to them: “This is My message to you for many generations: Yes, I have put My arms of love around you with a love that cannot change or be stopped, forever! For that reason, I have drawn you to Myself with the greatest love and kindness imaginable!” Doesn’t that sound great — being drawn to God with all the love that a person can imagine! This is how God describes His love for His children — past, present, and future.
So is there anyone out in this vast universe who is great enough to love me — even when I am unlovely or feel unloved? YES! God has reassured man many times throughout the Bible that “He loves the whole world,” and that His love to us will never stop — and cannot be stopped. We can be loved with an unstoppable love — literally overwhelmed by His immense love for us. That kind of love to His children melts our hearts as we learn that we are immersed in His great love!
Prayer: O God, since You fully love each person in the world, please show me that overwhelming love! I long to be loved fully, and to drink in that love from Someone who decided to love me long before I existed! I look forward to being fully transformed by Your great love. I wait! I long for it! I accept Your great love! I drink in deeply Your powerful love!
